a sheltered life all his life. Has never done any traveling which is probably typically British. As such, his friends, Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant decide to send Karl to various parts of the world
to experience unfamiliar cultures and hope that Karl's life is enriched by these travels though Ricky feels this experiment is
the most expensive gag for his own pleasure that he could have ever conceived.
